When we travel to places that we’ve never visited, we need to choose our accomodation carefully.  Don’t just choose a hotel by its price, or its rating, or even its location.  We need to do research on the hotels more carefully, so that we will not stay too far from our place of interests.

The easiest and practical way to find accomodation is to book hotels online.  That way, we can learn and compare hotels by prices, locations, ratings, facilities, and availabilities before booking; something that you cannot do easily if you book by the usual travel agents.  If you have limited budget, you can choose the lower price hotels, regardless of the location.  However, if you travel with small children or aged parents, you will want to have accomodations that are not too far from transportation.  Or, if you are on honeymoon, you might prefer the exotic boutique hotels in romantic sorrounding.

For example, if you want to go to London, we can browse London hotels online which hotels will suit our preference.  You might want to choose to book hotel that is situated near Tower Bridge or major shopping malls.  Or, if you want to go to Rome, just learn the Rome hotels online before booking the one perfect one for you.  Everything that is well researched before action will have satisfactory results.

    Joy_Brigade asked:

I work at an adventure activity company. Many travel agencies book their customers with us. We have one travel agent, when she’s in the area she books usually 8-20 customers with us. Other travel agents then let their travel agency know, and a voucher is printed. But this travel agent knows if she doesn’t notify her travel company, she can keep the 20% commission dishonestly. This has added up to a huge amount, and after her customers have done the activity, my boss hands this woman a check for several hundred, sometimes more than a thousand, dollars. She’s made I’d say at least $6000 this summer doing that. It makes me and my coworkers so mad, we barely clear $1000 month working full time.
I’d like to turn this travel agent in. I guess my boss hasn’t turned her in, cuz it’s all the same to my boss, the company gets the customers.
Do you think I should anonymously contact this dishonest travel agents company and report her? She’s probably doing same thing with other vendors

    About Travel Agents asked:

Were you a travel agent around 1990? I’m hoping to understand the US travel agency business in 1990. Specifically:

    - When you used a service like SABRE or APOLLO to book a ticket where did the money go? Customer pays Travel Agent for Ticket and when does Travel Agent pay Airline? Does Travel Agent actually pay Airline or does Travel Agent pay SABRE or APOLLO?
    - When did the Travel Agent collect commission? Did Airline/SABRE reimburse the commission or did Travel Agent withhold the commission?
    - I presume that there were fees for having a SABRE or APOLLO machine, correct?
    - How about the Airlines, what was their relationship with SABRE or APOLLO? What sort of fees did they pay? To whom?

I am trying to understand the cash flows and contractual relationships between:

    - customer (passenger)
    - travel agency
    - Reservation system (SABRE/APOLLO etc…)
    - Airline

    Thanks so much!

    Do you like free gifts?

Now there’s this online games website that offers so many extraordinary prizes, from Apple I-Phone’s, HDTV’s, Designer Bags, SCION XB’s to Cash Prizes.   All you have to do is click on the prize you desire, guess a number, and wait for the result.  If you guess the lowest unique bid, you will win the prize.  Just like that!  In one day you can make 30 guesses.  And, there is new winner everyday.  I think it’s got fair probability.

The plus point of this online sweepstake is its user-friendliness and playability, so that even everybody can play easily.  It’s even got the “how to play” video, so that there isn’t any mystery in the games.  Just try your luck!

For us internet addicts, all supplies related to computers and printers are as important as our weekly groceries.  The more we browse means the more we print interesting stuff.  So, as our weekly groceries, we need to check our supplies as often.

First, check your paper supplies.  You don’t want to run out of it when need it.  Second, much more importantly, check out your toner cartridges.  Running out of toner cartridges can be very frustating just because it is often a bad surprise in time of urgent deadlines.  Well … since we are internet addicts, why not buy toner cartridges online, and make a stock of several cartridgea to make everything simpler.  It’s much cost effective and practical.  We can even browse to find the lower price product brand that can also be used for our printers.

When we order online, don’t forget to find reputable online supplier that provide free shipping, return policies, one year guarantee, and after sales services.  The more you can save time and money, the better.
